CarboSeal® Trenchless District Heating Pipe Rehabilitation

Advanced Carbon Fibre-Reinforced Lining for High-Temperature, High-Pressure Pipelines

CarboSeal® is an innovative trenchless pipe rehabilitation system specifically engineered for district heating networks. Combining advanced carbon fibre reinforcement with a specially formulated high-temperature epoxy resin, CarboSeal provides a durable, long-term solution for restoring ageing and deteriorating steel pipelines without the disruption and expense of traditional excavation and replacement.

Applications

  • District heating transmission and distribution pipelines
  • Ageing, corroded or leaking steel pipes
  • High-temperature, high-pressure hot water networks
  • Underground pipelines beneath roads, railways and developed areas
  • Pipeline sections where conventional excavation is difficult or disruptive

Features & Benefits

  • Creates a durable, carbon fibre-reinforced lining designed to restore the structural integrity of deteriorating pipelines.
  • Advanced composite materials provide resistance to prolonged exposure to high-temperature water and demanding operating conditions.
  • Preserves existing underground infrastructure while reducing excavation, material consumption, waste and associated carbon emissions.

CarboSeal®

Advanced Composite Technology for District Heating Networks

CarboSeal utilises a specially engineered composite liner construction developed to address the limitations of conventional CIPP systems in high-temperature environments. Its proprietary TeXtreme® carbon fibre reinforcement is combined with a temperature-resistant epoxy resin system, providing the strength, thermal stability and chemical resistance required for district heating applications.

The carbon fibre architecture is designed to accommodate the thermal expansion characteristics of steel host pipes, helping maintain liner integrity during temperature fluctuations. The resin formulation provides resistance to hydrolysis and prolonged exposure to hot water, while the composite construction allows the cured liner to assume the structural demands of the existing pipeline.
